Changes to blue badge scheme

The "blue badge" permit allows people who have mobility problems to park close to where they need to go.

Changes to the "blue badge" parking permit scheme came into effect on 1 January 2012 making it harder for drivers to abuse the system.

Celebrate community champions   

The Mayor's Civic Awards aim to honour people, organisations and businesses who have made a real difference to their community. We are calling on people from across the borough to tell us about family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who do great things for the benefit of others.

Primary school applications

Online applications are now closed. Applicants will receive notification of their allocated school by e-mail. If your child is due to start primary school in September and you have not yet applied, you need to complete a postal application. All applications received after 15 January will be logged as 'late'.
